Tucson Networking Association

Where Tucson Comes to Work!

I'm so glad Andrew started this social networking site. I always wanted a way to interact with other business owners both as potential providers and potential clients. Sites like Facebook and LinkedIn just seemed too big and not regional enough. Having a site dedicated to Tucson is great.

After signing up, I started to get friend requests. Originally I thought that I would restrict these to people I actually new. Then the requests started and I've been adding people.

But now I've learned a couple of unique things about being friends:

1. Other people know who you are connected with. (If you have a fight, you can always remove someone as a friend.)

2. You can contact everyone who is your friend at once so you don't have to email everyone individually. But be careful - you don't want to be identified as a spammer and as I said above people will remove you as a friend!

3. You can send a personal message to someone who is a friend. Posting a comment is great. I've learned a lot about all of you this way. But I really don't want to know who you are meeting with and where. Or even more personal information. Now that you are friends you can send a message to them through the website or you can get their email address and add it to your list of contacts.

Remember that everything you post as a comment on a page is visible.

Great posting Sherry!
I just found about the friend email capabilities tonight
It could be a little self disclosing if I am not careful. : )
I think I need to delete all the comments on my page lol.
Thanks for the great info!!!!!
