Last week, Twitter and Facebook were hacked and out of order for several hours. Other than Tucson Networking Association, do you have other digitial profiles or social networks active you could switch over to if this happens again?

Great point Will! LinkedIn is also having problems. I have received several emails from some of my connections that they have not sent! The link within the message is up to no good...if you get an email "LinkedTricks - very useful utility, highly recommended" or something along those lines I would not click through on the URL. You may also want to contact the person and let them know you received the message as they may have no clue if they do not check that account very often.
For my alternative profiles I have them on niche specific sites and forums that are of great value to my business.
This is the very reason I help business set up social media systems. The center point of your social media should not be an external site, but rather it should start and end with your blog. The 'social media road map' you are paving should lead everyone right back to your blog. These sites can go down, they may not allow certain activity, and they are glitchy sometimes. Your blog is yours to do with as you wish! These sites should supplement and enhance your network and your reach to your target audience.
