Where Tucson Comes to Work!
.Don't worry though, this is a good thing ;)
You all know that Monique and I love Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring course. I mean, it's changed our entire Network Marketing careers!
We went from cold-calling and pitching "our Uncle Joe" on our business to attracting prospects to call us.
Quite a turn-around, right?
You might be wondering, "OK Derek, how does that happen?"In Magnetic Sponsoring, Mike Dillard calls it "attraction marketing," to be more specific.
And one of the key lessons of Magnetic Sponsoring is that you need to increase your VALUE to the world. The process of
doing this helps you to become a leader -- someone who knows their
shizzle -- someone who attracts prospects and customers to come to them to buy.
And Monique and I are living proof that this concept actually works!
So what got me thinking about repelling the wrong people?
Well, I got an email from Byron Smith -- an up-and-coming leader who said:
"I’ve noticed that at some of the jobs that I’ve worked at in the past, that some of your co-workers get intimidated by you if exude any type of leadership qualities! They then begin to try anything
in their power to undermine you, disrespect you, and maybe even get you
fired. Some blue-collar jobs leave the workforce discouraged, with
everyone making excuses why they can’t complete a task, or setting-up
other people for failure. I’ve been a part of that blue-collar class
for most of my working career. But recently I’ve made the switch over
to a white-collar mentality. Work smarter, not harder."
And yes, Mike Dillard does mention that folks will challenge you as you go from being an up-and-comer to an Alpha leader.
But I've noticed from personal experience that some will actually send you hate mail, leave nasty comments, and even cut ties if they know you.
I'm not playing the victim here -- this is just stuff you should be aware of.
So what does it mean?
But this only happens when you're being your authentic, true self -- and not being a fence-sitter, trying to be "friends" with everyone.
If you know in your heart that you're doing all you can to live your dreams and to create a positive impact in the world, then rejoice in all the positive, like-minded folks who do come into your life.
And never, ever let the negative, time-wasting, soul-suckers of the world make you waste one precious second of your life worrying about them.
"But Derek, why do they do this? I'm a good person, I didn't do anything to them, etc. etc."
Well, like Jim Rohn says, "I wouldn't sign up for that class!"
